In 2017, US Equestrian (USEF) approved a recommendation to award a new CCI4* event to Fair Hill. After the FEI announced the changes to the star system in November of 2017, Fair Hill made the decision to wait until the specifications for the new five-star were finalized before moving forward with improvements to the facility.

The 2018 USEA Annual Meeting & Convention featuring the USEA's Eventing Hall of Fame at the Sheraton New Orleans in New Orleans, Louisiana, December 6-9, is less than two months away, and we could not be more excited about all the different topics and speakers that are lined up to present.This year's convention will focus on officials, but our schedule is split up into three different tracks: “Eventers,” Events,” and “USEA”. Each track will feature a variety of presentations and forums focused around a common theme to educate and engage members.

The USEA Foundation has released the applications for the 2018 Essex Horse Trials Grant, Seema Sonnad Junior Rider Grant, and Amy Tryon Young Rider Grant. Eligible riders should submit their applications by October 15, 2018.

The United States Eventing Association's (USEA) Eventing Hall of Fame was established in 1999 to honor the accomplishments, contributions, and dedication of members of the eventing community who have truly made a difference to the sport. Induction into the USEA’s Eventing Hall of Fame is U.S. eventing's highest honor and recipients include past Association presidents, volunteers, riders, founding fathers, course designers, officials, organizers, horses, horse owners, breeders, and coaches.

The USEA Virtual Event College was in session last weekend at the at the 2018 USEA American Eventing Championships presented by Nutrena Feeds at The Colorado Horse Park in Parker, Colorado. Throughout the week, professionals from all areas of the eventing world shared exclusive lessons on all manner of topics from cross-country course preparation, dressage judging, organizer responsibilities, travel, and tips and tricks for keeping your equine partner happy and healthy.

Effective immediately significant changes have been made to the Adequan USEA Gold Cup Series. In an effort to expand access to qualification opportunities in more areas of the country, to encourage more entries at upper level U.S. events, and to expand entries at the 2019 AEC $40,000 Adequan USEA Advanced Championship at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky, the USEA and the Gold Cup Steering Committee have agreed to make the AEC Advanced qualifications similar to the AEC Intermediate qualifications.
