U.S. Olympic veterans Phillip Dutton, Boyd Martin, and Lauren Kieffer head the list of entries for the 2018 The Dutta Corp. Fair Hill International, October 18-21, at the Fair Hill Natural Resource Area in Elkton, Maryland. The Dutta Corp. Fair Hill International Three-Day Event celebrates its 30th anniversary this year and will host the U.S. Equestrian Federation (USEF) CCI3* and CCI2* Fall Eventing Championships as well as the U.S. Eventing Association (USEA) Young Event Horse East Coast Championships.

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has released the 2019 List of Prohibited Substances and Methods. This list comes into force on January 1, 2019 and is published three months ahead of coming into effect so that athletes and their entourage have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with any modifications.

The US Equestrian Federation (US Equestrian) has announced the recipients of the 2018 Land Rover/USEF Eventing Competition Grant and USET Foundation Jacqueline B. Mars National Developing Rider Grants, kindly given through the United States Equestrian Team (USET) Foundation, for the end of the 2018 competition season.The following athletes have received funding for The Dutta Corp. Fair Hill International CCI3* in Elkton, Md., from October 18-21, 2018:

The Woodside International Horse Trials is set to highlight the United States Eventing Associations (USEA) Area VI Championships this year. Area VI is one of ten Areas in the USEA, and Area VI is the only Area for the USEA that contains only one state. In this case it is California. This highly-anticipated event, presented by Equine Insurance of California, CWD, Devoucoux, and Professionals' Choice; invites the best horses and riders for their chance to become Champion in their division.

When The Dutta Corp. Fair Hill International Three-Day Event (FHI) celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, October 18-21 at the Fair Hill Natural Resource Management Area, it will offer something for everyone.In addition to hosting the U.S. Equestrian CCI3* and CCI2* Fall Eventing Championships, FHI hosts the USEA Young Event Horse East Coast Championships. Three Olympians and one Paralympian have been elected to join the FEI Athletes’ Committee, voted in by their peers through an online vote.Jumping athlete Cian O’Connor (IRL), dressage rider Beatriz Ferrer-Salat (ESP), and eventing athlete William Fox-Pitt (GBR) join German paralympian Angelika Trabert on the Athletes’ Committee, together with newly crowned FEI World Equestrian Games™ vaulting champion Kristina Boe (GER), endurance athlete Taker Taher (KSA), and reining athlete Francesca Sternberg (GBR).

In a dramatic cross-country finale, Buck Davidson cemented himself a double CIC3* winner at Plantation Field International Horse Trials, leaping from 14th straight to the top with Maya Simmons’ Archie Rocks. Davidson won this even last year with Sherrie Martin and Carl and Cassie Segal's Copper Beach. "Now I just have to win three times in a row, right?" he joked.

While Chris Barnard’s technical show jumping course shuffled much of the CIC3* leaderboard,  Phillip Dutton rose above it, jumping clear with Dr. Kevin Keane’s Sportsfield Candy to hold his division lead. First in the ring, Dutton sailed around the course, making Saturday’s test seem deceptively easy with the 11-year-old Irish Sport Horse (Condios x Angel of Harlem, by Cruising). They remain on their dressage score of of 29.7, which gives the pair six seconds of breathing room on Sunday’s cross country.
