Fleur de Leap Horse Trials in Folsom, Louisiana (Area V) hosts one event each year in mid-October offering Starter through Training level at Lagniappe Equestrian Center (LEC). Fleur de Leap also hosts schooling horse trials at LEC in March and December.

The Foothills Equestrian Nature Center (FENCE) Horse Trials in Tryon, North Carolina runs once a year as a part of Area III’s calendar in mid-April and offers Beginner Novice through Preliminary levels. FENCE is open year-round to equestrians, hikers, and birdwatchers, and hosts 9,000 elementary and high school students each year as a part of their outreach programs.

Former Fair Hill International (FHI) Executive Director and long-time integral member of the Fair Hill equestrian community, Charles T. Colgan, passed away on January 2, 2018, surrounded by his wife, children, and grand children. Colgan was former Executive Director of both National Steeplechase Foundation and FHI, former Racing Director with National Steeplechase Association, and was a current board member with Fair Hill International. Colgan held the role of FHI Executive Director for 10 years.

Flying Cross Farm in Goshen, Kentucky (Area VIII) hosts one USEA recognized horse trial each year in mid-September, offering Beginner Novice through Intermediate/Preliminary levels. The farm also offers six mini-trials throughout the year as a part of the 42 Fleur de Lis Mini Trials Series and is always open for cross-country schooling.

The ESDCTA New Jersey Horse Trials is held once yearly at the end of September at the Horse Park of New Jersey in Allentown, New Jersey (Area I) where they offer Beginner Novice through Advanced levels. ESDCTA is also involved in organizing and hosting unrecognized events and combined tests, dressage shows, clinics, and cross-country schoolings throughout the northeastern region.

Equestrians Institute Horse Trials in Cle Elum, Washington (Area VII) is held twice a year, at the end of May and the end of September, at the Washington State Horse Park, and offers Beginner Novice through Intermediate level competition. Equestrians Institute also hosts dressage shows, hunter paces, clinics, and combined driving events at different venues throughout the region and supports local sport horse breeding programs.

In 2012, a bill titled “Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century” was passed by Congress. This bill was designed to help the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) reduce the incidence of crashes, injuries, and fatalities involving larger vehicles, particularly commercial vehicles.
